Something a bit different

I wanted to post a picture of a project that I am making for an online class by Shelagh Folgate called "Design to Stitch".

I was hoping to do a lot of hand embroidery on this piece but since I used lutradur as my stabilizer I found it way too stiff to stitch through without using an awl to make holes and pulling my needle through with pliers.  So I am just going to do more free machine work and bobbin work.  I haven't done a lot of each of those, so it will be good practice.
