TAST 2012 #8 Chain Stitch

With Chain Stitch you can do almost anything, so I decided to make a tree (I love trees!) and to use mainly yellows or golds.  I added a bit of orange as well.

My son was home sick with the flu and I didn't feel that great either--but I was able to stitch.

TAST 2012 Detached Chain Stitch

Here is my seventh stitch:  the detached chain stitch.

I had fun with this stitch, but it ended up taking a lot of time.

Last Week and TAST #6

Last week was busy with things to make and lots of things breaking.  We had a couple different car problems, a refrigerator issue, and then I needed to make Valentine gifts for my mom and my mother-in-law.  I also needed to make a baby blanket for my 7th grandchild.  I finished everything (by the grace of God) and even got my stuff ready to show at our church's annual art and music festival which will be this Friday.

I also finished last weeks Take a Stitch Tuesday stitch (the chevron stitch) this morning.  It was a bit late but I did it.  I am sure the new stitch is up on www.pintangle.com right now.

So here are some pictures of some of what I have accomplished last week:

This is one side of the heart I made my mother.

This is the other side of the heart.
I forgot to take a picture of the other heart I made--I was in a hurry to mail them both off.

This is the crazy quilt pieced and then tied blanket I made for my grandson.  It turned out pretty good.
The colors are quite bright!

Here is my TAST #6

I finally think I have mastered this stitch!

TAST #5 Herringbone Stitch

I finished my Herringbone stitch sample.  I enjoyed this but I didn't really do a lot of exploring--just had fun doing the stitch.
